To obtain warranty service, please return the product to place of purchase (with a detailed description of the problem and print sample, i.e, Supplies Status Pages) or contact Authorized Replacement Center for further inspection.

HP LaserJet print cartridges and other supplies are backed by a limited lifetime warranty. HP LaserJet Cartridges: Warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship until the original HP toner is depleted. HP Colour LaserJet Bottles: Warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 90 days from date of purchase. HP Colour LaserJet Drum Kits: Warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship until the "low-life" message appears. HP LaserJet Fuser and Transfer Kits: Warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year or until the "low-life" message appears, whichever comes first. Please note that non-HP print cartridges may affect your printer warranty; HP is not obligated to compensate for damage caused by non-HP print cartridges.

Expiration Date On Packaging

HP has removed the expiration date previously featured on HP LaserJet cartridge packaging. The former expiration date had no correlation to the use or warranty of the HP LaserJet cartridge. HP LaserJet cartridges offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty. The code that is now shown on the box is intended for HP internal tracking only.

Not Covered

Warranty does not cover cartridges which have been refilled, are emptied, are abused, are missing, or are tampered with in any way.

Non-HP Laser Print Cartridges

If a non-HP print cartridge is found to be the direct cause of printer failure or damage, HP will not cover the repair related to that non-HP cartridge.

This warranty applies to HP ink cartridges, printheads, and related supplies.

NOTE: This warranty supersedes all previous warranties.

What this warranty covers

Each HP ink cartridge, printhead, and related supply is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the period of the warranty. This warranty pertains to any HP ink cartridge or printhead when used in its designated HP or authorised original equipment manufacturer (OEM) printing device. See the product manual for the printer to determine the correct ink cartridge, printhead, or related supply selection.

What this warranty does not cover

This warranty does not cover HP ink products that have been refilled, remanufactured, refurbished, misused, or tampered with.

How long the coverage lasts

Ink Cartridges - The coverage lasts until the HP ink is depleted or the “Warranty Ends” date has been reached, whichever occurs first. Printheads - Warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year (with valid invoice provided) and the coverage lasts until the “Warranty Ends” date has been reached or the warranted usage limit has been reached, whichever occurs first.

To find the “Warranty Ends” date, look in the following table for the date's location on each products . The date follows the YYYY/MM/DD or YYYY/MM format, where YYYY indicates the year, MM indicates the month, and DD indicates the day.
